for Cooling the Body and Mind
Friday, July 19
The heat of summer can often accelerate our mind and heat our bodies. It’s so easy to lose ourselves in the activity and excitement of the season. During this delicious restorative practice, we will enter an inner sanctuary of serenity and stillness of mind, body, and spirit.
The main goal of Restorative Yoga is to calm the nervous system. Through guided meditation, mindful breathing, the use of supportive props, and Reiki, you will move beyond your busy mind, and into a state of calm and quiet. Very gentle poses are held for 5-10 minutes while your body is completely supported by blankets, blocks, bolsters and pillows.
Let your body and mind cool down, chill out, and rejuvenate as you enter a state of inner quiet.
This practice is for everyone!
