Prop and Modification Workshop
Sunday, March 25th
w/ Anika Krost
When one of the most influential Yogis, BKS Iyengar, was suffering from an injury and couldn’t practice Asana (yoga postures) the way he used to, he decided that there had to be a way to make a Yoga practice accessible by using props and modifications. He wanted people of all shapes, sizes and ages to benefit from Yoga and was the first to introduce these modifications to the modern practice of Yoga.
In this workshop we will be exploring the Asana’s (yoga postures) with the use of blocks, blankets, straps, bolsters and even the wall.
This is right for you if you just started a yoga practice or if you’ve been practicing for a while and still have some difficulties with certain poses.
If you like to take notes, feel free to bring a journal.
(This workshop is not based on the traditional Iyengar style)
