The shoulders, back, and neck are a constant source of discomfort and tension for many of us. We often hold the weight of the world here; with excess stress and overwhelm creating more and more tightness and stiffness. Many common lifestyle choices, from how we sit to how we sleep, also contribute to this issue. In this restorative workshop, we will learn some simple techniques for alleviating overall back and shoulder and neck tension. We will move through some sweet and gentle restorative postures to support opening and releasing these areas. And we will move through shava yatra practice; a guided restorative breathing practice for alleviating long-held tension and stress in the physical body and nervous system.
